After Care Advice

All nail extensions should be treated very carefully. As we say in the business TREAT YOUR NAILS AS JEWELS, NOT TOOLS!

The first 24 hours after the application are crucial as the product is still settling down.

You will need to try and not use your nails to do things around the house such as scrubbing... Some habits might have to be changed such as dialing on the phone with a pen and switch the lights with the knuckles. However, if you are already used to long nails, it will not be a problem.

In order to give a good life to your enhancement, you should moisture cuticle and nail a few times per week (with cuticle oil if possible). This will nourish the natural nail underneath and keep it healthy.

You will need to wear gloves while using detergents, doing the dishes and gardening. Also when using products that contain coloration such as tan lotion, hair products as your extension could be discolored.

If lifting occurs, contact me as water, dirt, etc could get trapped and cause infection.

Do not pick, bite or file your enhancement.

Do not try to remove your extension as this will cause irreparable damages to your natural nails. Contact me so I can remove them properly.

Regular maintenance appointments are essential in order to keep beautiful enhancements and healthy nails.

The common belief is that the nails need to breathe. This is only a myth as the nail is a part of our body that is actually not alive. Therefore, the nail is not capable of breathing and certainly does not need air. The live part of it is situated under the cuticle area and the skin of the finger, which is called the matrix. So, giving time to the nails to breathe is actually not necessary.
